The Kansas City Game Designers is a group of game designers, playtesters, and general game enthusiasts from the greater Kansas City area who meet together regularly to playtest non-electronic game prototypes (board games, card games, etc.) and to discuss various topics in game design.

Playtest Meetings:

• In-person playtest sessions are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 6:30pm-9pm central time on the 2nd floor at Lenexa Public Market in Lenexa, KS.

  • Lenexa Public Market - 8750 Primrose Ln, Lenexa, KS, 66219

  • Meetings are free to attend and everyone, including new participants, are welcome to help playtest

• To have your game playtested, become an official member of our group by doing the following:

  • Attend 2 meetings where you playtest other people's games

  • At your 2nd meeting, ask to be a member

  • Members may submit requests through the private group to add their game design to the schedule

Game Design Discussion Meetings:

• Online game design discussions are the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month from 7:00pm to 9:00pm central time.

  • Talks will be held on the Official KCGD Discord Server.

  • Swing by to discuss game design problems, brainstorm ideas, or just talk about game design.
